Rockwell Mound

ROCKWELL MOUND

This burial mound is located in Havana, IL. across the
Illinois River and to the east of the Dickson Mounds
site. Now the site of a city park which has been built
on top of the mound, the road in front of the mound leads
to the river bank and additional public park space. Only
slightly up-river, one can see the point where the Spoon
River empties into the Illinois River. Watch this space
